When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When filling in a contact form, your email details are sent to the relevant site location, giving us the option to reply to your enquire. Your details are not shared with a third party.

Incomplete bookings

ResDiary will capture personal information and opt-in preferences in the booking process. This is the case for incomplete bookings. When a diner makes a booking, opts in to marketing, agrees to the Terms and Conditions of the booking, but exits the booking process before making a deposit on the booking, this diner is still opted into marketing, despite being marked as an incomplete booking.
